Teen Services
TeenZone
TeenZone is officially kicking off at North Light!
Beginning Monday, October 19, TeenZone will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:00–5:30 PM for students in grades 9–12.
TeenZone is a dedicated place for teens to connect, learn, build skills, and prepare for what’s next. Students can participate in our TeenZone Core Experience or apply for our Ignite Impact pathway.
TeenZone Core Experience
Students will have access to:
- Homework and academic support
- Cooking and life-skills activities
- College and career preparation
- Open gym, gaming, and teen lounge activities
- Community service and volunteer opportunities
- Opportunities to build friendships and connect with mentors
Ignite Impact:
Ignite Impact is a smaller, application-based leadership and entrepreneurship experience for 12–15 students who want an additional challenge. Students will work together to develop and operate a real youth-led smoothie and cold-pressed juice venture while learning about:
- Leadership and teamwork
- Budgeting and money management
- Branding and marketing
- Product development
- Customer service
- Entrepreneurship and problem-solving
The business project is entirely hands-on, but the bigger goal is helping students grow as confident, creative, and responsible young leaders. Ignite Impact participants will also be fully part of the larger TeenZone community.
Interested? TeenZone space is limited, so we encourage families to register early. Please click the link below to complete the TeenZone Interest & Registration Form: HERE
On the form, students can indicate whether they are interested in the TeenZone Core Experience, Ignite Impact, or both. We look forward to welcoming our teens to North Light!
