Machine Learning & Content Production
FUSE is a new program developed to equip teens and tweens with the skills to be successful in an evolving workforce.
Often times, coding is seen as the future of the modern working world. However, our partnership with Kognition will help our teens become familiar with machine learning, a skill of the future that is becoming increasingly marketable. Workshops and technology upgrades offer students a chance to monitor artificial intelligence.
How often in an academic curriculum are students taught to shoot and produce their own content? In addition, taught how to market their videos and turn this passion into a business? Through our partnership with TerryLeahyFilms, teens will have the opportunity to take classes about video production, learn marketing and business practices as well.
Precious Places Project with Scribe Video Center
Each year, Scribe invites neighborhood groups to document their history with the help of a filmmaker and research scholar. This year they invited North Light to join the Community History Project and create a video about Manayunk/Roxborough and include the oral history of buildings, public places, parks and other sites important to a community. You can view some recent projects.
The North Light Video Group has met using Zoom during the Pandemic. We are kicking things into gear to learn skills to create the video. We are looking for others who would like to participate. You need no video experience, just a strong desire and commitment to help North Light succeed in its mission. If you do have video, editing, writing, research, interviewing or other skills, we encourage you to join the group. Email Bernetta for all the details.
