Summer Camp

We are looking forward to an exciting Summer Camp at North Light! You can register your child/children now until June 5. Download the form, fill it out, and mail, fax (215-483-6728) or email it to Renèe.

We are not requiring registration fees or weekly deposits at this time. We will be accepting payments from June 5 to June 22. Anyone impacted financially by COVID-19 can discuss with Jon or Renèe a payment discount for Camp fees.

Camp starts on June 29 and ends August 21, 2020

Our qualified staff run an energetic and educational full-day summer camp for kids ages 4 to 12. (Grades K-6)

Core day: 9:00AM-3:00PM: $25.00/day
Morning extension: 7:30-9AM: $30.00/week
Afternoon extension: 3:00-6:00PM: $55.00/week: 3 or more days; $25.00/week: 1 or 2 days
Full Day: $210.00 per week with 3 or more days of Afternoon Extension
Discounts are available on a sliding scale basis. All families who apply for sliding scale must apply to Early Learning Resource Center (state subsidy) first before sliding scale will be given by us directly.

Adventures in Wellness

“Adventures in Wellness” will focus on developing youth’s social, emotional, and physical well-being through FUN structured activities and curriculum. The goal is to enable campers to sense being an individual and navigating through daily tasks and life challenges in a healthy and productive manner: The activities include:

Physical Well-Being
Physical activities are structured to help the children develop physiological awareness and increase exposure to healthier lifestyles. Some of these activities are:

  • Yoga
  • Swimming (Ages 6-12)
  • Sprinklers (All Ages)
  • Dance
  • Sports
  • Exercise
  • Nutrition
  • Body and Sleep Hygiene Lessons

Creative Expression
Creative Expression activities are designed to help the students identify their sense of individualism through creative expression in the following areas:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Performing Arts
  • Music
  • Cooking
  • Expressive Writings

Empowering Youth’s Thoughts
Children will increase their cognitive thinking skills to help them make wise and thoughtful choices through activities focused on:

  • STREAM (Read-to-Succeed Program)
  • Mindfulness
  • Wellness with Whitney

Understanding the Environment
Understanding the environment helps develop the child’s naturalistic style of learning. Children will have hands on experiences to learn the basics about nature and the ways to care for ecosystems with programs like:

  • Gardening with Seniors
  • Outdoor Adventures with the Schuylkill Center
  • Water Conservation with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council

Fun
Weekly fun excursions for the children include:

  • Bowling
  • Phillies game
  • Smith Playground
  • Kids at Play
  • Franklin Square
  • Please Touch Museum
  • Roller Skating,
  • And More…

*Please Note: You will be financially responsible for the days/weeks you register your child/children. Payment is due one week in advance.
**All paperwork must be in by June 1 or your child/children will be waitlisted.
There is a 10% discount if payment is made in full by June 1st.
