Kids Cooking Classes (Back in the Fall)

Garden Mosaics

Instructor: Kim Alsbrooks
For all garden mosaic classes, all materials are provided. However if you would like to include your own mosaic materials, please bring them. Mosaic materials include broken tile, glass or crockery, buttons, jewelry, beads or marbles.

Flower Pot Mosaics
This easy, relaxing workshop shows you how to turn a plain ol’ clay pot into a colorful mosaic masterpiece for your garden using traditional outdoor mosaic methods. Please bring your own clay pot, medium size is good. We will have little 4″ ones for you to mosaic, if need be. Feel free to bring your own mosaic materials.
April 8, 1-5 pm, $35

Decorative Stepping Stones
This class shows you how to make attractive stepping stones for a garden path using patterns of river rocks, tile and glass stones in concrete for a natural look that feels nice to walk on and beautiful to look at. We will complete one or two in class. Materials will be provided but feel free to bring your river rock collection or fav tiles. No broken glass for this project. We want to keep little feet and big feet safe.
May 6, 1-5 pm, $30

 

Magic Garden Mushroom Mosaics                                                                                                                              Make beautiful mosaic mushrooms, ornaments for your garden, using concrete and mosaic material such as glass and tile. Provides color all year for outside spaces! We will make one in class and you can make more to your hearts content, afterwards. You can bring your own mosaic materials such as colorful glass beads.                                        June 3, 1-5 pm, $40

Hula Hoop Fitness

5 Classes Starting Saturday, April 1, 1-2 pm, $50

April 1st is a FREE / try out class!

Jenelle Madeline’s Hoop Fitness series is designed to provide a low-impact cardio experience that tones muscles and builds strength. The class will cover hoop drills, dance moves, stretching with the hoop and hooping in both directions which creates better balance. Other benefits of Hula Hooping include better hand/eye coordination, stress relief, builds spine strength and flexibility. Hoops provided for class use.
