Starting Tuesday, December 2nd, Lois Terry will be directing children from five to ten years old in the newly formed Youth Choir. Singing in the choir gives children the opportunity to build strong vocal skills and an understanding of music. The children will gain confidence and social skills to perform on stage and make new friends. They’ll learn about various styles of music, from different time periods and from around the world.
The choir will meet every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:45pm to 6:45pm.
Lois Terry holds a B.S. degree from Slippery Rock University and a Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy from Drexel University. She studied at Carnegie Mellon University pre-college training program, won a scholarship to Chautauqua Music School, and toured the eastern U.S. coast and Europe as an accompanist for high school and college vocal groups. She is presently the pianist for Andorra Baptist Church. She also performs with the bell choir and the Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival Choir at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lafayette Hill.
