Mission Statement

North Light Community Center's Bright New Lights Pre-K Program provides a safe, quality, and affordable education for children and families Manayunk and the surrounding communities.
In following with North Light's mission of promoting the welfare of the community, the Bright New Light's program strives to help our students develop into strong, productive members of their community.

Objectives for Bright New Lights

The class is instructed by our highly qualified staff, who possess a profound background in education. It is the responsibility of the teacher and her team to create a stimulating environment and to provide and guide the educational experiences of each child while working in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Learning standards for Early Childhood Education.
The program goals are for the children to learn:

• to make good decisions about their behaviors
• to cooperate with other children and adults
• to communicate with others about their experiences and feelings
• to take initiative and solve problems
• to gain reading and math readiness skills and concepts
