Regular Hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. – $22/day
Pre-camp starts at 7:30 a.m. – additional $5/day
Post-camp hours end at 6:00 p.m. – additional $11/day
Discounts are available on a sliding scale basis. State subsidy is accepted.
Join us for Farm to Fork! The farm-to-fork philosophy embraces a sustainable approach to agriculture. Children will have the opportunity to grow and harvest their own crops, and learn about sustainability, community supported agriculture (CSA) and organic farming initiatives. A weekly cooking lesson will reinforce sustainable
gardening and the health benefits of
eating locally grown, organic food.
In addition to the Farm to Fork theme, we will also include science lessons focusing on the Urban Watershed. This will be a continuation of last year’s learning and use the curriculum, “Understanding the Urban Watershed.” Trained specialists will implement educational lessons, aligned with the Common Core Standards, and take on an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach to learning. The curriculum is also supported by the Green Schools and Clean Waters Initiative of the Philadelphia Water Department.
